Polaris Ohio Lifestyle Center – A great weekend destination

A much anticipated new out door life style development is coming to Polaris Fashion Place. Polaris Ohio Fashion Place has 6 out standing anchor stores and a very successful variety of specialty stores. Bringing an outdoor flavor to Polaris Mall is a great use of space that will add to all visitors enjoyment. The new out door life style area features a sophisticated look, with lots of green space, a tree lined walk way and dramatic European style architecture that will highlite the up scale amenities and services that are synonymous with The Polaris Ohio Mall. Polaris Mall “lifestyle center” joins the recent open air trend in retail malls.

Several new tenants, including the wildly successful Cheesecake Factory have now been included in the choices of local restaurants. The mall resides at a location that used to belog to Kaufmann’s which closed recently. Two newer Columbus based retail stores at the Polaris Ohio Mall are Victoria’s Secret and Bath and Body Works.

The newest phase of the mall center opened in the Fall of 2008. Visitors will like the beautiful European design elements. A triumphal arch will appear at the entrance to the Polaris Ohio mall featuring rich landscape and a pleasing water fountain. Open air dining options usually do well in these outdoor settings. The Cheesecake Factory, as well as many new restaurant options include Benihana and the an old English style pub.

Godfry’s mens wear is another new mall tenant, moving from Worthington Square Mall. The Destination Maternity store is a combination retail store and spa / salon for pregnant women that offers services form the specialty shops Pea-in-a-Pod, Mimi and Maternity Motherhood Maternity all rolled in to one. The salon and spa offers several services geared toward expectant mothers like a stress relieving prenatal massage. Polaris malls new tenant selection, offers various choices including different places to socialize, eat and relax. This new shopping mall approach represents an emerging trend for shopping venues. An interesting feature of the Polaris life style center is it’s seeming focus on how mall visitors spend their leisure time and choices on where to spend their money.

Polaris Ohio Mall Life Style Center focuses more of an emphasis on eating choices and activities like entertainment than just the previously available fashion choices, which were the main focus of the more traditional luxury brand shopping mall. Developer Glimcher Realty feels that the new open areas will create opportunities for live music selections and a variety of street performers as well as possibly hosting the local farmers market. Features like this are designed from the onset to draw new mall crowds from around the Columbus area and also encourage out of state visitors to linger longer, possibly for the weekend.

Madison’s Soldier/Daddy Surprises her at school after 12 month Deployment in Iraq

Daddy got home from a 12 month deployment today and we snuck him into Kindergarten to surprise Madison! Thank you to everyone for your kind comments and all of your support through these tough times. When people come up to us and say “Thank you for your service,” when he is in Uniform…..it really touches our hearts.

Spring is here and now it is time to spend more time outdoors having fun. You never know what kind of fortune you will find in those Easter eggs around our house. Some of these eggs can be traded in for a new laptop computer! See what happens when color coded eggs are scattered in designated areas around the house outside. We do have a unique system when it comes to Easter egg hunting. our system is different than the average. We use color coded eggs which are placed in designated areas that are talked about the day before. There are 4 color coded eggs hidden in each designated are for each kid. We also place real eggs in those designated areas as well. A designated area can be larger than 2 acres. There are many decoy eggs that are placed in the non-designated areas which may lead to temptation to cross over to the non-designated areas so this helps fine tune self control as well as good memory skills and following directions. This system has to be done this way so they each get the same amount in the prize filled eggs. We have two Easter egg hunts, one is in the morning and then one is in the evening just before dinner. In this video, a couple talks about how both their children and their parents reacted to the news. TRANSCRIPT: How do I tell my family I’m going overseas? It\’s always interesting as to know how your family is going to respond to this idea of your going to the mission field. Usually, it’s the parents who are sending their children away, and that seems a little bit more normal. But in our instance, it was our children who were grown and out of college and our elderly parents getting used to the idea of us going out. First of all, I have to say that our girls (we have three daughters) really were pretty prepared, and they were not surprised when we decided to go out. They had been on a lot of mission trips themselves, we tried to bring them up with a broad worldview and so it seemed like a natural step for us. And our oldest daughter was a missionary in India at the time. Right. I think our parents were a little bit more of a challenge. They come from a generation where this was just not normal, and so they were surprised, really surprised, when we said we wanted to do this. Their initial attitude, and the attitude of most people, is, we’ve got plenty of people that need the gospel right here in the United States, so why do you need to go around the world to do that.
