Men have always wondered why girls love to shop for clothes. When men are dragged to the mall by their girlfriend, who spends hour upon hour looking for a specific dress and trying on dozens of them, only to go away having bought nothing, he is quite simply baffled as to the appeal. What is it that makes them love it so much?

First of all, girls love the thrill of the hunt. They love to get out their into their environment and to hunt around all of the different stores on offer for the best bargains that they can find. Whilst men love to go hunting in the woods at the weekend, women prefer to go hunting in the mall, and whilst men will hunt deer, women will hunt for their favorite handbag or shoes.

Another reason is for the competition. Again, in the same way that men love to compete out on the sports field, women love to compete by finding the best pair of jeans or the most beautiful dress. The sense of pride that they feel when they turn up to the club in the evening with a gorgeous new dress and with all the other girls eyes jealously on them cannot be under-estimated.

We must also consider the most obvious fact of all, and that is that women just love clothes, period. The reason they will spend so long out there competing with other shoppers is because they love to look good and feel good in a new pair of jeans and a top. This is no revelation as women have been dressing up for thousands of years and will continue to do so for thousands more.

Last but not least, it is the whole package that draws a lot of women to the shops. The whole day out, spending time with your friends, catching up over a coffee and a sandwich, and having a good natter. All of this adds up to a pretty good day out for most girls.
